New Guest Announcement: Jamie Marchi

Jamie MarchiRaised on a steady diet of Bob Dylan, Molière, Christopher Durang and Mentos, Jamie Marchi has been making fresh and acting professionally for eight years, as well as cycling amateurishly for 25.

She is best known for roles in Witchblade (Masane Amaha), Black Cat (Rinslet Walker), Burst Angel (Meg), Crayon Shin-chan (Miss Polly), Fruits Basket (Motoko Minigawa), Suzuka (Miki Hashiba), Fullmetal Alchemist (Rick), Speed Grapher (Miss Wakaba), Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (Juri), and assorted characters in Dragon Balls Z and GT, amongst others.

In her spare time, Jamie enjoys 80s music, dancing, watching football, spending time with cool people, Chuck’s fajitas, making fun of people who are taking long walks on the beach, and generally just being a redhead. Born in Knoxville but never considering herself a Knoxvillian, she now resides in Dallas after majoring in Theater and minoring in fashion and espionage at the University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners).



New Guest Added To YuleCon Lineup: Clarine Harp

Clarine HarpClarine Harp was first cast by FUNimation Entertainment in 2003 to give life to the character of Tweedledee in Kiddy Grade. Since then, Clarine’s talents have been featured in a broad range of roles: Burst Angel (Sei), Akira Kurosawa’s Samurai 7 (Sanae), Speed Grapher (Ginza), Negima (Kaede), Trinity Blood (Mary Spencer), Beck (Kayo), Shin chan (Miss Katz) and Witchblade (Asagi). Clarine can also be heard in Yu Yu Hakusho, Spiral, Fullmetal Alchemist, Case Closed, Hell Girl, Aquarion, Ghost Hunt, One Piece, Ouran High School Host Club, Desert Punk, Origin ~ Spirits of the Past, Mushi-Shi, Suzuka, Peach Girl, Baki the Grappler and The Galaxy Railways. Recently, she has appeared as Chen in Jyu-Oh-Sei.

Out of the booth, Clarine spends her time producing DVDs for FUNimation, tending to her horde of rabbits and proudly spreading the gospel of sock knitting. She is also the inspiration behind the character Aubrey, a regular cast member on the popular web comic, Something Positive.

Bruce LewisBruce Lewis is an American voice actor, writer, artist, and author. He has worked in the U.S, manga and anime industry since 1993.

A lifelong American anime and manga enthisiast, Bruce Lewis is the author of Draw Manga: How To Draw Manga In Your Own Unique Style (ISBN 1-84340-188-6), an amazon.com Best Seller recommended by Shôjo Beat magazine as the one American how-to-draw-manga book to get. His freelance writing on anime and manga has been published in Animage, Animerica, Anime UK, Anime FX, Wizard, Manga Max and Pulp.

As a voice actor, he has appeared in Aquarian Age [ADV]; BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, Black Cat, Ragnarok: The Animation (as “Fat Thief”), Witchblade, Genesis of Aquarion, Hell Girl, Black Blood Brothers, BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution, Shuffle!, One Piece, Jyu Oh Sei, School Rumble, Shin-Chan, and XXXHolic (FUNimation). He is currently a regular cast member in an upcoming anime series from FUNimation. He has also written one script adaptation for FUNimation.

Lewis’ credits as a manga writer and artist include Robotech: Invid War Aftermath (1993-1994), Robotech: Hohsq’s Story (1995), Robotech Aftermath: Megaroad (1996) and Gall Force: Eternal Story (1994-1995). He also co-created and co-produced Star Blazers: The Magazine of Space Battleship Yamato with Tim Eldred and John Ott from 1995 to 1997.

Wendy PowellWendy is so excited to be here with all of you…so let’s start this CON out with a bang! Wendy has been a professional voice actress for Funimation Entertainment and Okratron 5000 for 5 years and has recently signed a contract with a new company called Illumitoons Productions, in which is playing the character of the Appraiser in Beet the Vandle. She is probably most well known for a little villain named “Envy” on Fullmetal Alchemist.

Wendy is also known for smaller parts…in which she usually dies a most painful death. Some of her credits include: Emi, In Baki the Grappler. Amick, In Blue Gender, The Fever Demon in Shin Chan, Kyo’s Mother in Fruits Basket, and Kasuga in Negima, Paul” Lady Death” In Trintiy Blood. She has also voiced characters in: Kitty Grade,Case Closed, Yu Yu Hakusho ,Peach Girl, Galaxy Railways, Tsubasa, Gunslinger Girl, Moon Phase, Glass Fleet and many others. Video Game credits include: Spikeout, Fullmetal Alchemist, Curse of the Crimson and Broken Angel.

Presenting Samantha Inoue Harte

Samantha Inoue HarteSamantha Inoue Harte is the quintessential Renaissance woman in the Anime Industry: she is an Anime voice actress, an Animation Instructor, and currently President of her own Animation Studio.

She began her career teaching animation at various locations throughout the Austin, Texas area and continues to do so at the Austin Community College and the Austin School of Film. She later started animating at a studio called Little Wolf Entertainment under the tutelag of Director Sam Fleming, then turned to HorsebackSalad Entertainment, and Powerhouse Animation Studios.

At those three studios, Samantha was able to work on projects for Warner Brothers Classics (Jetsons, Speedy Gonzalez, Roadrunner Online), Disney (lilo&Stitch2: Stitch Has a Glitch), and View Askew Productions (Clerks: the Lost Episode from the Clerks 10th Anniversary DVD), Chuck E. Cheese, Mattel Interactive, a smidge of work on the King of the HIll pilot, and too many others to list.



Yulecon Welcomes Musical Guest ToyBox!

ToyBox Toybox started in the year of 2004 or 5….
They were some kids who love music and started jamming together.
After gone through some member changes from 5 piece to 4 piece to 5 piece again to 4 piece to finally got down to 3 piece.
But hey, who said less is less? Though there are only three instruments, listeners will feel it’s more than just three instruments when you listen to Toybox.

Because, there are some vocals in the songs=p

Anyway, these Japanese-born kids are not afraid to break any rules that music may have(Actually there’s no rules and boundaries in music), so don’t be afraid!
They might not speak the same language as you do, but they do speak the same music. (And they do sing in English, too!!)

In the Summer of 2007, they’ve released self-produced 5 song EP “5 Seconds To…” and the copies are available at all Zia Records locations.(Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Tucson, and Las Vegas) So make sure to pick up your copy if you haven’t purchased yet.
